I got a 8gb SD card, and followed instructions:
for a A6 beagle bone
I am on osx:
xz -dkc <latest angstrom image>.xz > /dev/disk1
It worked great, I booted it up, but when I do a df it still shows up
as 4gb, as if I had a 4gb card
how do I get 8 gb's?

You have to expand the ext4 partition to fill the rest of your memory card. This probably easiest done with a program similar to GParted on the host system.
that did the trick, I had to go to ubuntu to do it. I can think of no
way to do it on osx.
now I have an 8gig disk.
