A3 vs A4

Apologies if I missed it but is there a summary of the differences between the A3 and A4 beaglebone?

wjr

The A4 has a different microSD connector
We changed the big 50 ohm resistor to a 0402
Added R219 to change the polarity of the Speed LED on the RJ45 connector

It is described in the SRM… http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=BeagleBone

I looked at the cape dimensions and I see that one mounting hole is
still not dimensioned fully. The X coordinate is given but not the Y
coordinate.

Also, it would be useful if the fourth mounting hole were dimensioned
and listed as optional. The fourth mounting hole can be important if
a larger than standard cape is being designed.

The A4 SRM change history says a note was added to the cape section
about the mounting holes, but I can't find any mention of mounting
holes in the A4 SRM.

Rick

I will add this to my to do list.

Gerald

Please do -- it's also useful for enclosures and mounting hardware. I
can grab them out of the gerbers, of course, but that's a pain.

Pin 1 indication of the 10p header connector is still wrong. And shouldn’t the horizontal offset of that connector be 0.275 instead of 0.250 ? I haven’t looked at the gerbers, but visually it looks like the header connectors are at exactly 0.1" pitch horizontally.

Thank you, this is very useful.

You can have a look at drawing of beaglebone component for KiCad:

The dimensions have been taken from the gerber files.
