Putting together a cape with a more capable battery managment chip for a work project. It’s going to hook up to both.
longer answer: I had also reviewed the data sheet for the power management chip. They specifically claim managing power coming in from both sources and switching which one does the supplying of the rest of the BBB on the fly. yeah, Hot-plugging the barrel cable with it powering from the USB is doable.
