Access files externally without booting

Hello,

Lately I was messing with the /etc/rc.local file to start up some scripts on boot, but unfortunately due to code error the boot up loops at the rc.local script. Now the beagle bone does not load properly, so i can no longer access the files through ssh/serial port to delete/edit the current rc.local file. Is there any way to access the beagle bone files so I can fix that?
thanks in advance,
IC

Presuming those are on the eMMC... Boot from an SD card, then mount the
eMMC for editing... If problem is on SD card, boot without the SD card,
then insert it and mount it for editing.
