Hi jason and other community memebrs this is my second proposal for gsoc on beagle board project

Air Hockey game using Projector + Kinect + BBB

Games are great!

They are fun, inspiring and hocking elements, me myself was drawn into engineering due to a simple set of micanoJ. I want to traverse this feeling to another child using the new available layer of technology of embedded computers.

I intend to make a project similar to this one. (# was my own idea but during my search found that it was implemented L )

But lucky me it is written in Tex/Latex and not very good in terms of performance (hats up for creators).

So my vision for this project is to have a complete Open source Mixed Reality engine which can in real time build a complete perception of the environment and build another layer of information on top of it.

So the core of the project is the engine not the app, as I don’t intend to stop at air hockey imagine having a Chess board where you and your friends are the chess pieces or having a real life combat game in your office.

I think I’ve replied about this one elsewhere. This sounds something more for a Make Weekend Project than a GSoC Project. We like to sponsor projects with small, highly-reusable software components for the BeagleBoard.org community, not something that looks like a product/demo. I would really love to see this exist, but I don’t see how it provides a reusable software component for the community.
