Angstrom demo image

Using the latest 2.6.28-omap1 kernel with the Angstrom demo image, how
does one turn the display on and off manually?

I tried using xset:
root@beagleboard:~# DISPLAY=:0 xset dpms force off
(EE) omapfb(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument

but it doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?
