Angstrom site slow

Trying to get 2012.04 image from
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beaglebone/

Getting 2.4kb/sec throughput or 12h estimated time of download!

I searched and there was a similar situation in 2010 where the ISP was throttling due to excessive transfers.

Anyway, this is an FYI but could somebody update the mirror (only one that works, Amazon S3 mirror referenced on beagleboard.org is empty)
http://www.beagleboard.org/angstrom-mirror/www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beaglebone/

^^ that one does not contain 2012.04

Thanks
Eric

Something appears to not work with my rsync command:
rsync -avz --progress --partial angstrom@linuxtogo.org:~/website/demo
$MIRROR_DIR/demo

Still a problem, can anybody else confirm trying to download the demo image?

Thx

Hi Jason,

It is still so slow, that practically unusable.
Can you update the mirror if not possible to fix this one, please.

Hi Jason,

It is still so slow, that practically unusable.
Can you update the mirror if not possible to fix this one, please.

The mirror had been working, but if you look at the script command
below, you'll notice that I missed a trailing '/' in the source path.
I've fixed the script now and moved the files to the correct location.

Also note that my script leaves old versions around. As I get more
comfortable with it, I'll try to clean it up a bit to move old
versions out of the default directory as Koen does.

please use --delete in rsync, it needs to be a true mirror, not a confusing mess.

I really hate deleting stuff, especially under automation. Any chance
you could create an index.html and 'latest' softlinks to hide the
confusing mess?

Like I did this morning? Attentive readers will have also noticed the redirect to a faster server

Attentive readers will also notify you are trying us cmd-line heads to
shoot us with a GNOME distro :stuck_out_tongue:
Jokes aside I think you moved one too many files in the archive

No, I mean a file in the directory that I mirror from.

Very nice.

All the old stuff is still present on your mirror. Could you please delete it or delete the entry from http://beagleboard.org/angstrom ?

All the old stuff is still present on your mirror. Could you please delete it or delete the entry from Ångström Distribution - BeagleBoard ?

Can you check if you are happy with the way I have it now? The S3
mirror should be working for the default images as well now.

Is downloads.angstrom-distribution.org a permanent address? Am I
still mirroring from the right location?
