APPLY NOW: Google Summer of Code with BeagleBoard.org – Deadline approaching 5/3/2013

Beagle enthusiasts:

Is your idea worth $5,000 this summer? Propose it, code it, load it and WIN Google Summer of Code 2013… all with the help of BeagleBoard.org. (NOTE: Deadline to apply is May 3. For more information, join the beagleboard-gsoc@googlegroups.com list serve.)

Not familiar with Google Summer of Code (GSoC)? GSoC is a global program that offers students stipends to write code for open source projects. Simply stated, this is a program where students get to perform embedded programming and add it to their resumes moving forward. GSoC will allow you to gain experience and get paid!

In order to participate in GSoC 2013, you must apply to work with an open source organization who has been selected by Google as a mentoring org and, although we’re biased, we feel there is no other organization quite like BeagleBoard.org. We have terrific mentors that will help you NOW scope your project submission application to success. Time is running out, come join the fun and be among the very first to work with our recently announced (and already wildly popular) BeagleBone Black this summer! Remember, you can use any Beagleboard/BeagleBone for the project, and you get to keep your very own board.

See more about how to get involved with BeagleBoard.org in GSoC 2013 at http://elinux.org/BeagleBoard/GSoC. Remember, the deadline to apply is quickly approaching (May 3). Don’t delay, get your application in today!

Again, for more information, join the beagleboard-gsoc@googlegroups.com list serve. We look forward to working with you!
