over at my wiki page for the xM, i started a section for barebox:

i was quite pleased that configuring and building barebox for a
regular beagle would at least give you images that would let you boot
to the barebox loader on an xM, so that gives me a solid starting
point.
of course, if someone out there has already done all this, it would
be terrific to know that. if not, i've already posted to the barebox
list, asking to add initial xM support, at which point i can start
reading the barebox docs and submitting patches to make it
xM-specific.
