It is possible with this version beaglebone-blue to control motor stepper driver like leadshine dm556 in place of servo ? (i can try some hw mod if needed)
Also for this use, machinekit can work with this board ?

It seems like a level-shifter and talking through RS-232 seems pretty practical.
