It is nice to see in India how BeagleBoard have been promoted and supported via workshops and technical get-together.
Does any organization arrange such BeagleBoard workshops in Germany or Europe? If yes, please inform us in this group. TI workshops on DaVinci and OMAP are very rare and expensive.
We have been developing many BeagleBoard based projects in Biomedical engineering at University of Luebeck since end of 2008. Even, we have introduced BB in university education for DSP lab class exercises.
We would like to know the other BeagleBoard development groups in Europe and also would like to have knowledge exchange.

sounds to me like you should be hosting the workshop
Somehow I knew you would ask. I want to hold off for a while. I want to leave it to them to announce. Right now we are trying to get them some boards. Component issues are still giving us problems. I don’t wnat to cause a run on these guys and then they beat me up because we can’t ship them boards!!
I'm giving Embedded Linux Trainings in German an English.
In case you can get together enough interested people I'll be happy to
give a lecture about the BB.
Somehow I knew that you would know, but I had to ask anyway - sorry.
And you are absolutely right in your approach to avoid start-up
problems. Do it right and good luck!
we from Golden Delicious Computers are sort of an inofficial
distributor in Germany (we share some of our imports from DigiKey) and
would be happy to become an official distributor (I didn't know that
there was demand and a possibility for this).
And, we have helped to set up a local wiki&forum (www.beagleboard.de)
which is a privately run initiative.
Oh man, since we're on international grounds here...I'd like to say
that Brazil is also very interested in using the beagle, I'm from USP
( Universidade de São Paulo) and I'm currently working on a very basic
project using BB...It would be awesome to have the board in some
classes...unfortunately as USP is a public institution things tend to
change really slow around here, unless some great effort is done. I'm
still an undergraduate student but I've got some exp in embedded
systems and, if there would be a workshop somewhere in the world, I'd
try my best to be there.....I heard about OEDEM but it was already too
late to ask the university to help me going...
Is there going to be some kind of event this year??
There has started some discussion to organize a German BeagleBoard
workshop if there is enough critical mass and I would like to invite
you to participate:
BeagleBoard has been (and AFAIK will be) promoted by Frank Walzer from
TI in Germany/Europe on LinuxTag, Embedded World (there was a special
booth organized by http://www.osadl.org/ ), FOSDEM, ...
