BBB and sd card trouble

I have tried with 3 different micro SD cards, and I have the same problem with each.

If I have a sd card in the slot on BBB, all four user lights light, and freeze that way.

Once I remove the card and re-apply power, the BBB boots as normal.

What am I doing wrong here?

Do you want to use the sd card as extra storage? When you should follow this tutotial: http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=MicroSD_As_Extra_Storage
As I understand without uEnv.txt (see link above) BBB will try to boot from inserted sd card.
