BBB eMMC is not flashing from SD-Card

Hello,
I have image am335x-debian-11.8-iot-armhf-2023-10-07-4gb.img downloaded and loaded into my BBB’s SD Card, I hold down the boot-button down during power-up.

But, I don’t see the cyclomatic/knight-rider pattern of the board flashing to indicate the eMMC is being flashed.

The SW Version inside the BBB reads:
debian@beaglebone:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Release: 10
Codename: buster

What am I missing, what is the best way to get it up and running?
I am updating the Image, so that I get gdb-server also in the board for debugging via TI CCS.

Please help on the same!

Thanks & Regards,
Ben.

only the images with “flasher” in the name will flash, the others will run from the sd card

Once you’ve booted up into the microSD with that image:
Run:

sudo enable-beagle-flasher
sudo reboot

Then on the next reboot, it’ll flash the eMMC…

Hello @RobertCNelson,
sudo: enable-beagle-flasher: command not found

This command doesn’t seem to be found, unfortunately.

Which is a good sign, your not logged into the microSD, your still booting into the buster eMMC
