BBB not connecting to 192.168.7.2

Hi All,

My BBB has stopped connect via USB to 192.168.7.2

I followed this tutorial a while ago and all was working fine, over USB, Ssh and VNC Viewer.

I am now trying to log in just through USB to 192.168.7.2 but the connects times out.

The BBB is being seen by the computer but can’t connect.

I’ve updated the SD card on BBB to latest image and am booting from SD card, but no joy. I’ve tried installing driver just in case (FTDI and RNDIS), but still no joy.

I am running 2015 Mac Book Pro with OSX Mojave 10.14.3.

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Saul

Delete the RNDIS driver for mac, re-flash with the latest image, and
just use the "192.168.6.2" interface for cdc-eth (aka non-rndis)..

http://beagleboard.org/latest-images

aka, your on mac, don't bother with the un-maintained rndis driver,
instead use the built-in cdc-eth driver..

Regards,

Thanks for response Robert.

Stupid question but do I delete drivers on OSX? The image I have on SD card is new from this eve (bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img)

192.168.6.2 still times out?

Thanks,

Saul

I don't know...

192.168.6.2 still times out?

Okay, let's give this fresh image a quick test:

https://rcn-ee.net/rootfs/bb.org/testing/2019-05-12/stretch-iot/bone-debian-9.9-iot-armhf-2019-05-12-4gb.img.xz

(it'll take about 60 seconds on first startup to finish generating ssh
key's etc..) So just watch dmesg, looking for the serial usb device
to show up, then try that interface first..
