BBB running program from U-boot instead of Linux

Hi Forum

I wish to use my BBB to generate a wave form (10-50us period) using the BBB GPIOs. The period of the wave form is used to encode a digital signal.

To do this I wish to run a program from u-boot instead of booting into linux.

Does anyone have instructions on using u-boot to launch a executable (c++ code) at boot time?
