Does the BBB support wake on lan? I searched and found a post discussing waking on usb activity but nothing regarding waking on ethernet activity via wol.

Not unless there is something in the SW domain that supports it.

Ahh. I'm not sure how hardware and software support wol. If I find out more I'll post here.

There is no physical connection from the PHY that could tell the SW to wake up. So, the SW has to be cat napping in order to wakeup on an Ethernet action.
