BBBlack show as Green

Hello
I’ve got three BeagleBoneBlacks purchased from Digikey last week. On reprogramming them to - Debian 9.4 2018-06-17 4GB SD LXQT or 4.14.49-ti-r54 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jun 15 22:14:13 UTC 2018 -
they appear to come up as BBG. They aren’t activating the HDMI…
An earlier board with the same microSD disk boots OK.

They start by booting as Black, but then dmesg shows they become a green.
I’m wondering if anybody has any ideas.

Hi Neil,

Yes your board got mis-programmed:

]eprom:[A335BNLTBBG020Q
model:[TI_AM335x_BeagleBone_Green]

Looks like the first 9 digits didn't transfer from the barcode
scanner. (label on the side)

BBG0 is code for the Green..

on a recent board from Digi-Key..

eeprom:[A335BNLT000C1821BBBG1608]

GND TP4 (between ethernet and barrel plug) then run as root:

Thanks to Robert, with his help came up with this solution.
requires upgrading to a recent version of boot, and I did that by upgrading to the latest 9.xx 4.14.49

I used a boot cable connected to BBB.
Entered Boot at startup.
