BBW <==> BBB rootfs comparison

Hi,

is it possible to run a rootfs on the BBW, which was built (compiled, using
Gentoo) on a BBB?

Is it possible to use the same crosstool chain to build kernel/U-Boot
for the BBW as for the BBB?

Official releases are the same for both boards. When u-boot/kernel start they detect which version they run on.

Rootfs absolutely does not care what board it runs on, it is the same for both boards
