Beagle Board and H.264

Hello,

We know that the beagle board can handle decoding of 720p MPEG4 in real time.

Does anyone know what the highest profile and level of H.264 it can
handle in real time is?

Thanks.

H.264 has numerous parameters that affect the decoding complexity, so
a simple answer is not possible. I'm not aware of anyone having done
extensive testing.

Is there anyone on this list that can capture video with the HD PVR
1212 by Hauppage? I'd like to see if video captured by this device at
720p can be played back and what the limitations are.

Samples (from wiki)

To test if you machine is fast enough to play HD-PVR files short clips
have been uploaded as torrents.
13.5Mbps/13.7MBPS Max (720p) http://www.mininova.org/get/1763048
10Mbps/10.2MBPS Max (720p) http://www.mininova.org/get/1762999
7Mbps/7.2MBPS Max (720p) http://www.mininova.org/get/1762988

If those do work, and you want something even more challenging, I can
fire up my HDHomerun and get you 1080p steam.

Thanks Robert,
I actually don't own a beagleboard yet. Does anyone here who's
interested have the ability to put one of these files on their board
and play it back? I've hear H.264 at 720p needs a dual core running
at 2GHz. I thought since the beagle has DSP capabilities it might be
able to do this at just 600MHz or less.
