Hi,
Im looking at using this board in a project like this: http://projectsentrygun.rudolphlabs.com/home
I would like to mount the whole set up in a tree where most people would not see or notice it, only the few BB’s raining on them so to do this i would like to use a Beagle board as the item to do the image processing. so i have a few questions:
what power does the begal board need to run? like voltage@current input (i would like to power the thing by solar power and a battery duing the night.
how can i install linux on it?
Could an IP camera connected to the beagle board be used in place of a USB one? I would like to do this so I can use night vision which is when this will be needed the most.
Could I place a USB thumb drive in the beagle board a record the feed to it so that I can go back a look at what it was shooting at?
Thanks for the help.
See below.

5VDC at 1.5A depending on which of the three different BeagleBoards you are refferring to.

Apply power. Linux is already on the board.

Assuming the right SW is installed, yes.

That is possible.
