my beagle board was working k but when i copied the latest u-boot and
x loader the system goes to I2C ready message on my terminal and was
not proceeding further..
i also accidently erased the NAND and now the beagle does not show any
messages on power up and only 1 led is on..pls suggest what to do
Hi An,
Can you tell us what board you have (rev C4? xM?) and how you are providing power, and where you got the latest files? You should be able to use these without a problem to get at least to a u-boot prompt:
hi
am using C3 version of the board. and i have used the same procedure
from the link
described by you..
it was u-boot was running ok and it was going till I2C ready and
getting stuck..
so i tried to put latest u-boot and x-loader into nand and in process
erased the nand..
am giving external 5V supply..
I got a method to recover the beagle board which also failed due to
some problem..
Hi An,
If you can describe the problem more fully, we’ll be able to help. What was the problem with the recovery? Essentially, you just need to:
- load working MLO and u-boot.bin onto a card
- boot from the card (by pressing the USER button while booting)
- erase NAND and then copy the files from the card to NAND
Details are on this page:
http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardRecovery
You can obtain a working MLO and u-boot.bin from here:
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/beagleboard/demo
Also, make sure you are using a good SD card. It should be class 4 or higher.
Hi An, my apologies - the correct link for Angstrom demo image files, including MLO and u-boot.bin, is
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/
hi
I got it working by reformatting the FAT i.e boot partition on SD
card and again copying the files in the orfer specified.
anyway thanks for your help..
