Beagle boards out of stock @ digikey

I just checked digikey’s site and they are out of beagleboards.

anyone know when theyre going to restock or leadtime . Or can you get the
beagleboard from some where else then digikey?

Digi-Key is the only distributor. They will receive three shipments this week. Go ahead and order your board. It should be able to be shipped form Digi-Key in a few days.

Also note that Digi-Key shows 0 quantity on all of their development boards, so this may not be an indication of actual inventory they may have.

Eventhough DigiKey shows quantity available = 0, you can back-order
just by typing 1 into the quantity box and clicking Add to Cart.

Perhaps they can add a note on the BeagleBoard order page right next
to their Buy button explaining the Digi-Key back-order trick.

I ordered yesterday, said 0 in stock, got notification it shipped
today. Knowing Digi-Key, that 1 is probably the last of the first shipment.

Be patient. There are more on the way. We have 270 more scheduled to ship between now and Friday in three shipments.

270 :slight_smile: that should be enough as long as no one posts about it on certain web sites.

I think a better question is perhaps, what is the productation capability for BB? If they run out how long does it take to produce a new batch of say 50 or so boards?

We are building the first batch of 400 and these will have shipped by the end of this week. There will be a month lag for the next batch of 1600 to start rolling out at around 200 per week.

For the record, you guys can blame me for all of this drama.

When I placed my order, the website showed only one unit in inventory. I
figured there would be no possibility of actually getting it, 'cause I just
can't type that fast. Surprisingly, it arrived on my doorstep the next day---
even though I ordered Ground shipping. :slight_smile:

Now, all I have to do is not plug THIS one into the wrong power supply too...
