beagle vga cape

Is there an error in the description of the VGA cape here:

http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=BeagleBone_VGA

the description says, "By outputting 16-bit DVI-D signal, more pins
can be exposed at the expansion headers."

As a whole the description doesn't make much sense and the above
sentence raises the question of exactly what this cape outputs. Does
this cape output VGA, DVI-D, or both? (would be nice if it offered
both.)

Eric

It out puts analog VGA via a 15 pin connector.

Gerald

What then is the dvi-d reference? is that an error? The description
is confusing.

Eric

It is an error in the description. Nothing more sinister. It has NO DVI-D output. If you want that, you need to buy the DVI-D cape.

Gerald

Didn't suspect anything sinister going on just wanted to verify what
it would and would not do. I have the dvi-d cape but sometimes need
vga instead. a cape that did both would be really nice. Hopefully
the description for this vga cape can be updated and the description
clarified.

Eric

If you look at the picture, you will see a DB15 connector on it. Once the documentation is released, you should find a lot more information available.

Gerald

my thinking was that maybe they put the dvi-d signaling elsewhere.
it's the error in the description that makes it confusing.
regardless, looking forward to these being available, I'll likely buy
one.

Eric

No, just lazy people copying one page as a base to create another page and not knowing what they are doing.

Gerald

Sorry for confusion. Our website is updated with correct description.
