[beagleboard] Beagle-board vs OMAP3530 modules

hi all,

I am using beagleboard right now but I found it too big for design-in for a handheld product.
Can anyone share your experience on using any other OMAP3530 modules that also has support from open source community ?
and any major concern or difficulty on using these modules ?

That’ll be fine if I need to build an expanson board for the modules. The idea is to keep the whole thing small, perhaps half the
size of beagleboard.

I don't really know what your application is, but I also have been
exploiting Google to find a small, versatile board for my own
projects. I would take a look at the following:

GadgetPC:
http://microcontrollershop.com/product_info.php?cPath=154_170_273&products_id=3529

Hawkboard:
http://www.hawkboard.org/

Leopardboard:

mini2440:
http://www.mini-box.com/mini2440v2
http://www.junetrading.com/product_info.php?products_id=5626

After not having the beagleboard in stock, I've started looking more
closely at the other options, but it all depends on the application.
I'm leaning towards the GadgetPC due to it's size and everything I
want to do with it requires only USB ports. No hub required.

You can also look at Nanonote (http://www.qi-hardware.com/ ) though its not OMAP 3530 its smaller than the beagle board and schematics and all source code is available.

Hawkboard should also becoming abailable around sometime now.

Thanks everyone for your comment !

It seems that gumstix is the closest alternative to beagleboard that can shorten the learning curve.
I may give it a try but hopefully they don’t have the stock issue like beagleboard
