I have the BeagleBoard XM. The SC card that came with my BeagleBoard-XM
works fine but I am unable to install another OS on another card.

What brand of SD card are you using? I know the Beagles are a bit
picky about what type of card they access, and they like to bury
Sandisk cards in the back yard (read: refuse to read/write/recognize
'em). Kingston and PNY work.
