[beagleboard] DaVinci DM6446 on BeagleBoard

When the next revision of BeagleBoard is supposed to be released? Is
it possible that some day this board includes TI's DM6446 Media SoC
instead of DM3730?

We have no plans to make a DM6446 version of Beagle. The timing on the release of the next version of the Beagle past the Rev C -xM BB has yet to has yet to be finalized.

The dm6446 is less powerful than the 3630 in every respect so why would you want that?

Is DM6446 really less powerful than DM3730 in all features? Isn’t there nothing better than DM3730 in DM6446?
I want to use it for high performance image processing algorithm; and power is not an issue for me. Are you sure 3730 is better?

you should be able to pull up the specs and compare, no?
Sure there might be a/some feature where the 6446 is better,
but why make a new board just because of that?
