[beagleboard] Driving an LVDS display. What are the LCD_Data lines?

Colors? Well, it depends on the mode, but for what we use, you can look at the schematic. They are listed there. You can also find them on the BeagleBone schematic as well. And you can look in the Technical reference Manual for the processor. A cape that supports LVDS already exists.http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=BeagleBone_LVDS_LCD_Cape

Hardware? You may need to level shift them. I have no idea what LVDS device you plan to use, but that may be required.

Sample schematic? You might look at the LVDS cape I mentioned earlier. http://circuitco.com/support/index.php?title=BeagleBone_LVDS_LCD_Cape

Yes, it can do 24 bits of data. That is found in the Technical Reference Manual.

Gerald

Yep, this is the reference design I used in our application. Keep in mind that this is for an 18-bit display, so if you need all 24 bits you will have to use some additional pins. However, I found that if you use antialiasing and save your images as 18-bit images, you do not need the extra color depth.

The schematic is located at the vendor’s website here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7BWcJPjt1LNV1ZUVTJtbVZNb2M/edit?pli=1
