As long as this is the beagleboard, you should replace ttyS0 with ttyS2..

You are looking good… the kernel is booting nicely and transfering to usermode which then continues to boot. Not having a video out device shouldn’t matter X will barf and crash. Lets go through the log and point out some things to fix:

First of all your Ethernet USB dongle is being detected properly:

Second the USB OTG is running the CDC Ethernet driver so you could potentially also use that - however, I’ve had some problems getting DHCP to work reliably. The BeagleBoard will by default try and get a DHCP IP address on the OTG port which means your host computer needs to be connected and running dhcpd3 or something similar. Personally for now I would configure the usb0 network interface to use a static IP address (do something similar and compatible on your desktop computer) and then you should be able to SSH on to the BeagleBoard.

Next up, your TWL doesn’t appear to have any battery backup… not a big issue but can cause some headaches if you aren’t running NTP… depends what you are planning to do application wise but this is definiately something to remember and has bitten me a couple of times…
