[beagleboard] Re: DVI connector

Yes ok…now i am ready to buy an new nonitor with the DVI slot…i have an another doubt…whether all DVI supported monitor will have the support of DVI-D support?or we have to buy seperate monitor which have only DVI-D?
Because there is lots of different DVI connectors(DVI-I,DVI-A,DVI-D)…whether all monitor with DVI supports all the DVI types or it has seperate monitors?

DVI is DVID + DVIA
DVI-D is only the digital portion
I don’t hink I have ever seen a DVI-A only monitor.

There is alos a dual link DVI with two channels. We only support single channel.

DVI-D: Pure digital signal on digital pins;
DVI-A: Pure analog VGA on the analog Pins
DVI-I: Both are supported

The wikipedia article is very helpful on this. Check it out.
