[beagleboard] Re: Kernel stops after booting

Hi,

I formated SD card with twp partion (LABEL1 and LABEL2), I copied mlo,
u-boot.bin and uImage( Built using map3530beagel_defconfig) to LABEL1. In LABEL2 i untared
Angstrom-Beagleboard-demo-image-glibc-ipk-2009.X-test-20090326-beagleboard.rootfs.tar.bz2
file and i booted and it is stoping at RTC level, here is the log.

The error means that the kernel couldn’t find its modules directory and needed to load a module for some reason. Normally you could just download the relevant “modules-” archive file from here: http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/ and then extract it over the top of your Angstrom parition.

However, your kernel is a little old (2.6.22 is two years old) and there isn’t an appropriate modules archive for that version. I would upgrade your kernel to 2.6.29 as this includes a lot of OMAP related fixes. You can get that from the same link above…
