- All the tests mentioned on this wiki are validated.
- The sources for generating these images are provided, additional
patches will be posted for review in series

Kindly test these images on your boards and let me know if you find
any issues with the same.

NOTE: Please download all latest images for u-boot, x-loader, kernel,
ramdisk, scripts.

Khasim,

One minor edit: the script files are looking for uImage.bin, so change
the line 5
from this:
   5. Kernel (uImage) as uImage
to append ".bin" on the filename.

We tried this procedure out Tuesday and it worked on our rev b board with our
pico dlp.

Done, thanks for the review.

Regards,
Khasim

What was the reason for the switch from uImage to uImage.bin?

Steve

Hi Khasim,

Two issues.
1) Please add Linux gparted as a preferred alternative to the HP Disk format
tool. This is also a GUI based tool and very simple to use.
2) Add a note about SDHC card readers. I know that when I first started, my
SDCard reader wasn't SDHC compatible and this caused me all kinds of
problems. All SDCards above 2GBytes are SDHC, and since 4GByte SDCards are
now available for less than $10, I expect that most users will be using SDHC
cards.

Otherwise, nice work.

I found this from Jason's patch for beagle defconfig, even I feel
uImage is better as it gets generated. I can change the naming to just
uImage, let me know if there are other opinions.

Khasim

Sorry for top posting.

ok, need to try this out. If you have the procedure. Please send it
across or I can add you as moderator to change this stuff.

I think it is card reader dependency. Again let me know what exactly
has to be changed.

Otherwise, nice work.

thanks.

Hi Syed,

gparted [1] is pretty straightforward, for reference we used it at
digikey while filming this youtube video.[2] Gparted is shown starting
at the 32sec mark. The same steps shown in the video should work for
the validation procedure.

* We had Jeremy do the acting.
