Beagleboard Rev C4 Android Porting Efforts

Hi All,

I am porting Android on Beagle-board Rev C4 OMAP 3530.

Can any provide me guidelines to port Android, I checked for Emblinux for Android porting from where I have downloaded Android Sources and Linux kernel for Android, but I am not sure about how to port Boot loader to Beagle board C4 Rev.

I would appreciate if anyone give me pointers on boot-loader porting or any links which can make my job easy in porting Android.

Port it again? There's already embinux, oxdroid, rowboat, etc. Does the world really need another port?

If you kindly point me the location and porting document for bootloader on beagle board it would be great help as I believe for C4 version of beagle board we have different images that needs to installed.

uboot has already been ported to the beagleboard....

I am very new to Beagleboard, I am aware of the fact there is boot rom on processor , I have built Android Filesystem and Kernel, I need your help in steps requried to put u-boot and x-loader on SD card with Android File System and Kernel.

I got some links which mentioned how to format and make partition for Boot loader and Android but I am not sure how to get u-boot source code for C4 Rev and X-loader Source code for Rev c4 as I was notified that U-boot and X-loader needs changes for Rev C4.

Can you kindly guide me how to follow these two steps of U-boot and X-loader?

there are a ton of instructions on how to put:

1) x-loader
2) uboot
3) kernel
and
4) root file system

on a SD card, including the C4.

why don't you try to follow some of them?

you don't need to recompile uboot, ready made uboots exist that support C4,
all you need is to google and read.

I order to help you, I would go and google and them copy&paste stuff
into this email, I trust you are able to do the same...
