Beagleboard SD read speed

Hi,

I was looking at SD read speed today and got this result:

root@beagleboard:~# hdparm -t /dev/mmcblk0

/dev/mmcblk0:
Timing buffered disk reads: 44 MB in 3.02 seconds = 14.59 MB/sec

That used to be only 5MB/s

The patch that gave the boost was:

Koen

Whats the make/capacity of the SD card you are using ?

Very nice. You can do ~12MB/s on N810 in same mode. I wonder if 8 bit mmc mode could make that faster on Beagle or if those 14.5MB are limited by current omap3 clock speed and kernel mmc stack (since even 4 bit over 48MHz should do better in theory).
