[beagleboard] Unable to install Ubuntu with rootstock

Hello, lorekKatze,

I had same issue before and I got it over like this.

The first line of the ‘rootstock’ shell script file is
#!/bin/sh

Change this with
#!/bin/bash

This will solve the ‘bad substitution’ error.

Robert,
Do you manage the beagleboard ubuntu rootfs build tool? I think you can make this change. :slight_smile:

Nope, I essentially have zero control over rootstock... I just push
patches to Oliver..

Fill out a bug report, with the details of the problem and your
/bin/sh to /bin/bash patch... But since this a ubuntu project, they
probably want to continue to use /bin/sh (dash)...
