beagleboard xm not booting

Hi,

I followed the instructions on this page:
http://treyweaver.blogspot.com/2010/10/installing-angstrom-on-beagleboard-xm.html

And managed to get through every step.

When I try to boot the image, nothing happens!
The lights on the BB stay on, dont flicker like they used to when booting!

Anyone have any idea what I should do?

Hi Venkiroak,

Thanks for the help. That Lab book site looks v cool. Only if I am going to compile a kernel, boot image, etc. How can that be done on my x86? I thought the beagleboard was a different architecture (arm-8 cortex)?

Just today, I managed to successfully boot ubuntu. And it runs quite slow on my my beagleboard xm. So, I’m trying angstrom again. I found an easy way to get the angstrom demo or original validation images onto a sd card easily. It’s the last two lines of code, under "The Setup - Preparing the validation SD card.

you just download the image, and dump it on the sd card.

Af for the previos problem I had. I think its documented here:

Kind Regards
Aubrey.

No problem, will do.

Thanks
Aubrey.
