Beaglebone Black Ethernet LEDs always on when connected to power

Hi,

We are facing a strange issue in Beaglebone black. Ethernet LEDs (Green and Yellow ones in Ethernet port) are always on when connected to power even without connecting the ethernet cable. Board cannot get connected to network when ethernet is connected. Rebooting or Power reset didn’t fix it.

What BeagleBoard image are you running on the BB?

The output of the following is usually helpful
sudo /opt/scripts/tools/version.sh

Printing the output of the command sudo /opt/scripts/tools/version.sh

it is an old image, according to my recent experiences building the latest device, if you want to have the most stable and tested system, you should run with the image recommended in the BeagleBoard website, which now is the 2020-04-06. This will save you a lot of time ! HTH

Hi @nmingotti,

The same image is being used across multiple boards. We see this problem only in two devices with us. These devices also developed this issue in recent past. So I am looking forward to understand what might cause this. This is haunting as other boards with same image may also get to this state after few days, not sure.

Thanks and Regards,
Raajeshwar Elangovan.
