BeagleBone Black won't startup (USR2 LED, always on)

Step by step:
I plug in a power supply or the USB cable, doesn’t matter.
PWR LED comes on.
USR 0, USR 1, USR 2, USR 3 come on in that order, then USR 1 and 3 flash, then USR 0 gives one heartbeat and then USR 2 stays on indicating constant use of the CPU.
Nothing else happens.
I tried with or without sdCard, no difference.
With or without held down boot button, no difference.

I flashed the eMMC unsuccessfully using the newest Debian iimage from the website.
Just the BeagleBone folder appeared.
I powered it off last night and everything went completely normal.
And then when I tried rebooting it today this is what happened.
Already tried to format and reconfigure the sdCard.
All I have available is a Linux mint 17.1 and an OS X 10.11, no windows.
Any help or idea is greatly appreciated.

Best, Felix

In which case, it worked..

Connect via ssh..

Regards,

Thanks Robert, though in no way helps me with the current issue of it not working and only USR 2 LED, always on.
SSH is dead unfortunately. As are all other indicators of it working!
Best, Felix

Reflash:

It looks like it hard locks after u-boot loads..

Regards,

Tried with both the 4 GB version and the 2 GB version, still nothing.
Flashe only a litle bit more. But Boot button held down upon powering doesn’t do anything, and with or without it same outcome.

So, what I did, was Download the Debian Jessie bone image not the BBB-eMMC Flasher image.
vimed into /media/USER/rootfs/boot and edited uEnv.txt to flash the MMC via the uncommenting the very last line.

Now it works, somehow.
Thank you.

Hey ! How are you?

Not so good round here. I’m having the same problem you had, USR2 led always on. Can you be more specific on the steps you took in order to fix this problem?

Thank you very much! getting crazy over here

Hey, did you recently upgrade to a new kernel version?

I am also facing same problem

I am trying to flash ubuntu image… to emmc memory,… now it’s sequecially blinking.usr0 1 2 3 and 3 2 1 0 …hoping it will boot from emmc now

Beaglebone has started under ubuntuu, but now if I dump other images with #cmdline , #’ removed it show single usr2 led problem.
Suggestions which I have followed :

  1. Checking sd cad slot pin connectors (is it floating from sd card copper pads?)
    I checked it -passed
  2. Downloaded ubuntu console image and burned it in emmc
    I checked it - passed
Now BlackBerry is booting from emmc but cant reflash with other images. And still usr2 problem persist
