Beaglebone Graphics Accelerator and Hardware Caches

The TI AM3352 (The chip on the beaglebone) has the SGX530 3D Graphics Engine. I’m hoping to use this to accelerate my openCV programs. Has this been done before or could someone point me in the right direction?

Also, I’m wondering if the hardware caches on my Beaglebone are disabled. During boot, I get this message:

I2C: ready
DRAM: 256 MiB
WARNING: Caches not enabled
No daughter card present
NAND: HW ECC Hamming Code selected
No NAND device found!!!
0 MiB
MMC: OMAP SD/MMC: 0, OMAP SD/MMC: 1

And /proc/cpuinfo mentions nothing about the caches. So if they are indeed disabled, could someone help me with that as well?

Are you working with ubuntu? With Angstrom the caches are enabled by default. I am also working on the image processing using openCV on beaglebone. Try this:

Thanks for the response and sorry for the delay. I had my exams going on. I am indeed using Angstrom but the trace made me think that the caches were not being enabled.

I looked through the post that you had mentioned. I’m afraid I don’t have much experience in compiling Linux kernels, much less on cross-compiling. Is there some way to enable the caches after booting?
