BeagleBone Hangs under high network load

Has anybody else experienced the beaglebone kernel hanging under high network load?

Reproducible every time by running 10 instances of:

i="0"

while [ $i -lt 100000000000 ]
do
i=$[$i+1]
echo -e "$i"
done

over 10 SSH sessions, you don't have to wait long, maybe 10 minutes.

First noticed this when refreshing two 500 byte images 5 times a second over http - so it doesn't seem to be ssh related.

uname -a
Linux beaglebone 3.2.18 #3 Tue Jul 3 12:23:09 BST 2012 armv7l GNU/Linux

Regards,

With a bit more digging, something is breaking the ethernet which puts it into a state where it can't detect the link. It comes back after a while and a few reboots though. The revision is A5, has anyone seen this before?

Ok, dead Ethernet is dead :frowning: - even when the link now comes good, it can't send or receive packets. Will look into RMA.

Cheers,
