BeagleBone immediately disconnecting

Hey all,

When I connect the Beaglebone Rev. A6, in Ubuntu, it locates the BeagleBone and shows “Wired Network 2”, and then almost instantly after it says “Wired Network Disconnected”. I’m running a Ubuntu kernel on the board, and I can’t seem to figure out as to why it’s behaving like this. I am on my college’s network, so maybe that is affecting it? Any thoughts or tips are appreciated.

Also, I’m trying to connect to this through Putty or the terminal, each of which to no avail.
