[Beaglebone] What linux modules (PC) are needed to fully connnect to Beaglebone

Hi,

my Linux is a Gentoo system. I am using the vanilla Linux kernel
3.4.5.

What kernel modules do I need to configure/compile for being able
to connect to my beaglebone in all offered manners (serial,net)?

serial: USB_SERIAL_FTDI_SIO

net: it's using the usb-gadget driver on the Bone, not 100% on what
you need on the host..
