Beta build of Android Eclair with support for BeagleBoard

Hi All,

Embinux team has released beta build of Android Eclair. This build
supports BeagleBoard.
The release notes, porting guide, download and compilation instructions
are available from

http://labs.embinux.org/index.php/Android_Porting_Guide_to_Beagle_Board

From now onwards we will use a single manifest.git by which you can select
platform (BeagleBoard / EVM) and Android build (Cupcake / Donut / Eclair).

I mean,
Is audio working in this release ?
I mean play and record audio ?

Vishal,

This Android Eclair release supports Beagle board and is without
gstreamer integration.

We are working on gstreamer integration will release it soon :slight_smile:

Hi,

    i'm trying this build on my BB, but besides the audio part is not
working,
    i noticed that the screen is flickering, does anyone else meet the
same problem?
    any idea?

i'm trying to play the music in the Android(Eclair),using the embinux
source and find it there is no sound at all.
Anyone has met the same problem?

Hi,

Yes, we are also using Beagle Board with Android Eclair version from
Embinux, and observed that audio is not playing back.

Hi,
I'm new in this. It is not as easy as compile gstreamer for arm and
then we have audio & video for BB? If not, could you give a brief
explanation and then some documents to read in order to have a better
understanding?
