bitbaked u-boot.bin can't be loaded

Hi there,

I just did a
$ bitbake x-loader
$ bitbake u-boot
without any errors in my angstrom-2010.x.

Afterwards I copied MLO and u-boot.bin onto the first partition of SD-Card and my BeagleBoard is stuck with this messages:

If i use an older u-boot.img, everything works as expected:

I erased my nand via "nand erase.chip" so there should be no old residues in
the flash.
Did I miss something?

I suspect you might have an SD card formatting issue. My hack is to
do make sure MLO includes a configuration header and copy it to the
MBR of the SD card, making sure that the directory entries of the
first partition don't matter because they are easy to get wrong. [1]

Ignore my commend below. I didn't realize that MLO was executing fine
for you and it was just u-boot.bin that was failing. This is indeed a
bit odd. I'll try this on Monday.

it is a bit strange coz I did the similar operation as you did to copy MLO and u-boot.bin
into the first partition of SD. all work fine. which version of your openembedded you
were used? is it openembedded-2011.3 maintenance or the one from angstrom repository?

hi…

did u find the cause for the issue ? did u resolve it ??
please shed somelight on this thread somebody…
