Booting from flash chip on MMC2

Hi

I am looking to boot my beagleboard-xm using a flash device instead of
the microSD. My plan is to connect the flash chip the MMC2 connectors
on the “Expansion Header” of the header of the board. I am new to
beagle boards and I’m wondering how I would approach packaging an OS
that could boot from the flash.

You will need to modify the resistors on the board to setup the boot order for this to work. The resistors are on page 4 of the schematic. refer to the DM3739 Technical reference Manual for the available options.
