Brother of BeagleBone Black?

Hi Gerald,

Browsing the web, I found this product http://www.myirtech.com/list.asp?id=510 by MYIR.

This company http://www.ti.com/devnet/docs/catalog/companyfolder.tsp?actionPerformed=companyFolder&companyId=13238 seems know from TI.

I know that it isn’t so, but this board seems the BeagleBone Black evolution with almost the same dimensions.

Then, it is possible that the successor of the BeagleBone Black is not the BeagleBone X15?

Regards.

Paolo

There is no such thing as a BeagleBone-X15. It is called the BeagleBoard-X15.

Paolo,

That isn't a BeagleBoard. I've personally placed an order for one to
try to evaluate the degree of compatibility. It is an interesting
possible next step. There are a few things I think we'd do different
as "BeagleBoard.org". First, jumpers suck. Second, similar headers
imply some compatibility that I don't believe exists either from a
mechanical or electrical perspective. Third, I think $99 is a bit high
and we'd be wanting to jump a bit higher volume to make it a bit more
affordable. The kernel and image builder also need to be put up on
github or similar (for me, I don't even find any source links).

Anyway, thanks for sharing an interesting board and lets continue to discuss.

Regards,
Jason
