Am I correct in assuming that if I wanted to purchase 150 BB and put
my backorder in with DK that I would eventually get the boards? I
haven't done this yet as it my understanding that BB is not intended
for these types of sales. However, it appears to be no problem if I
go through the process of putting the order in with DK. Is there a
limit?
Alternatively, is anyone making a clone of the XM, something like the
Hawkboard, but with the builtin USB hub?

Well, there is a 25 board limit, but D/K has been known to make exceptions if approved. No one that I know of is making a clone of the -xM. Are you looking for a lower performance processor like the Hawkboard or is there something about the Hawkboard that you are looking for in particular?

Mine was backordered by phone just 7 days before x mas and it still made it under the tree. I was surprised. I think my wife regrets it now. Its still my favorite toy: ) I would image its. First come first serve.
U may try PANDABOARD which is similar to xM.
As I keep telling people, DK likes to have several in stock before they show sock, because they go in about an hour no matter what they show. But, they do get 200 boards a week and without showing stock, they sell them out every week. Hence, they rarely get to show stock. The other distributors will start to get boards soon, but they didn’t make the initial commitment DK did and so they ran out of boards quickly and are now waiting to get their orders in.

No particular interest in the Hawkboard other than using it as an
example of a BB like board that I can buy larger quantities of.
