Can I compile with ADS1.2

Hi, Everyone,

I want to know whether I can use armcc from ADS1.2 to compile my C
program (or assembly code) for beagleboard. My school has licenses for
the ADS1.2 so I want to use it to generate faster code.

Thanks in advance,
hui

That is an insanely old version. It cannot be used to compile Linux
applications, at least not without a lot of trickery. I wouldn't be
too certain it produces better code than a recent gcc version either.

Thank you Måns. I know it's old but that's the only version we have in
UT Austin, "one of the top US engineering schools" :frowning:
Can anyone provide info on how the latest version armcc compares with
gcc in performance?
