Cannot install build-essential

HI,
I followed previous posts in this group and I found out that to compile code on BB I need to install build-essential on BB but when I give the command “opkg install build-essential”
I get the error "Collected errors:

  • Cannot find package build-essential."

what may be the problem? I even ran opkg update but still the problem persists.I really don’t want to cross-compile :(.

It would help if you listened to the people on IRC who told you to install task-native-sdk instead of build-essential.

sorry,I should have listened :D.I installed task-native-sdk and everything is working fine
