Can't run Ubuntu 10.10 on C3

I'm trying to follow the instructions at http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu#Demo_Image
on my BeagleBoard rev C3. It's externally powered with a multi-port USB hub attached
(keyboard, mouse & ethernet).

Sadly, it fails to boot with this error:
[ 4.630615] mmci-omap-hs: probe of mmci-omap-hs.1failed with error -16
[ 7.300292] mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card

I tried it a couple of times and managed to boot once, but still no USB
hence no network.

Any ideas how to get the USB (on the mUSB, not OTG port) going?

(i'm usually running the same setup on my pre C4 boards..)

Try a different mmc card.. That kernel in the current demo images
(2.6.37-x2) is using Steve's mmc -110 work around, but some card's
still seem to fail..

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~beagleboard-kernel/+junk/2.6-stable/view/head:/patches/beagle/0001-omap-mmc-Adjust-dto-to-eliminate-timeout-errors.patch

2.6.38-rc's seem to cope with it better..
