Changing Resolution without without changing uboot boot cmd

Hi all,

Is there a way to change the screen resolution settings without
changing the bootargs.

My boot cmd is for an HD 52" Plasma:
setenv bootargs 'console=ttyS2,115200n8 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2
rootfstype=ext3 rootwait rw omapfb.mode=dvi:720p60'

And if I wanted to plug it into a small 1024x768 monitor without
changing the bootargs is that possible via a different bootarg or an
application/command in Angstrom?

Many thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Try to generate a boot.scr file and save to your SDCard, when u-boot
is running, read it first and boot by from bootargs in this file.

Enjoy it.

Great! Thanks for the tip. Are the any good tutorials or places to
start on how to make a boot.scr?

Thanks again,
Chris

Haha, just google "u-boot mkimage boot.scr".
